Helping People Get Supplemental Security Income

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a needs-based program. SSI is a benefit paid to people who are age 65 or older, blind or disabled, and who have limited income and assets. Disabled children may also qualify for SSI benefits.

To be eligible for SSI benefits, a claimant may not have more than $2,000 in assets, or $3,000 if the claimant is married. Certain assets do not count toward the SSI limit, so it is important that you consult with an experienced Social Security Disability attorney if you feel you may be eligible for SSI benefits. You could potentially also be eligible for SSDI benefits. We can help you understand the difference between SSDI and SSI.

We can help at all stages of the SSI process. If you need help applying for SSI benefits or your application for benefits has been denied, contact Dale Buchanan & Associates. We are a national disability law firm with extensive experience in Social Security Disability law. We have helped countless clients obtain TennCare or SSDI and SSI benefits.

Denied SSDI? You May Qualify For SSI

Because SSI benefits do not require a work history, people who are not eligible for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits may be eligible for SSI benefits. Disabled children and adults may qualify for SSI benefits. People who receive SSI payments are also eligible to receive Medicaid benefits.

Do Not Delay

If your application for SSI benefits has been denied, do not delay. You have a limited time to appeal your denial. We can help. We have a proven record of results in SSI appeals.
